The mission of Brazos Valley Thin Blue Line Foundation is to aid Brazos Valley First Responders in need who have suffered a catastrophic illness, injury, or property disaster by providing expeditious short-term financial assistance when traditional sources fail to meet their needs.
About Our Foundation's Mission
As the need grew, so did the support. From December 2014 through July 2018, the Chapter provided more than $15,000 in financial assistance to 34 First Responders facing catastrophic illness, injury, and other hardships.
The community’s generosity made it clear that “Backing the Badges” could become something even greater. In May 2018, the Brazos Valley Thin Blue Line Foundation was established as a nonprofit organization to accept tax-deductible contributions and expand our mission.
Since then, the Foundation has provided more than $100,000 in financial assistance to First Responders and their families across the Brazos Valley.
And one promise has never changed:
Every dollar donated by our community is used to help a First Responder in need.
The Foundation’s story began with seven officers, a $200 donation, and a commitment to help those who put their lives on the line for others.
Today, that commitment continues—stronger than ever.
On December 16, 2014, the Chapter made its first $200 donation to an injured firefighter facing multiple surgeries. That first gift was small, but it represented something powerful:
First Responders helping First Responders.

It started with seven law enforcement officers and a simple idea: give back to those who protect our community.
In August 2014, seven active and retired law enforcement officers formed the Brazos Valley Chapter of the Thin Blue Line Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club. Covering seven counties — Brazos, Burleson, Robertson, Washington, Grimes, Madison and Leon — the Chapter chose to make supporting local First Responders its community project, calling it "Backing the Badges."

What began with bike washes, T-shirt sales, membership dues and even competitive shooting quickly became something much bigger.
